Fifteen successful years at the helm of a global human rights organization and in partnership with philanthropy have honed Yvette’s skills to assess the human rights landscape. She can help analyze the broader ecosystem we operate in, understand opportunities for impact and identify where your organization can add its unique value. She works collaboratively to help you design strategies to achieve the foundation’s goals. She can support your grantees in structural ways, facilitate feedback and learning loop, and ensure cross-cohort cohesion.

She advises on program strategy, organizational design, good governance, sustainable work practices, and building healthy and thriving cultures.
For the past fifteen years, Yvette served successfully as Executive Director of WITNESS, a global leader in the use of visual storytelling and emerging technologies for human rights, and winner of the 2023 Peabody Award for Global Impact. As WITNESS’ leader, she championed approaches that centered the agency and voice of those most at risk of harm and strengthened ecosystems of collaboration to create social change.
Yvette previously worked in new technology start-ups and established companies in media. She currently co-facilitates the “Global Digital Rights Executive Director Network” and the “HR & Ops Community of Practice,” where social change makers share ways to build resilient organizations, solve challenges in today’s complex social change landscape, and support their teams.
She is a member of the board of AccessNow and Doc Society, and a contributor to The Symposium on Strength and Solidarity for Human Rights and The Wellbeing Project.
